Chickpea cakes and ketchup

Made these delicious chickpea cakes (recipe here). They’re made of chickpeas, green onion, sesame seeds, and other things. We like ours with ketchup†. They’re pretty easy to make, especially if you have a food processor. We used a smoothie maker (it’s all we have!). They turned out well despite our methods. We ate them for dinner with grapes and celery, but they’d also make a great lunch or snack–so versatile!

ketchup; catsup; catchup. The first spelling greatly predominates in modern usage. It has the advantages of phonetically approximating and of most closely resembling the word’s probable source, either the Cantonese k’ē chap or the Malay kēhap, both referring to a kind of fish sauce. The pronunciation is either /kech-əp/ or /kach-əp/; /kat-səp/ is pretentious.

Ooohhh I want to try these. I’ll have to see about the food processor part….my assumption is since our family has never cooked ever….we don’t have one. Ever since your falafel suggestion, I trust your judgement on food!
