The Getty

It’s been far too long since I’ve blogged–apologies, apologies all around. A thing or two has happened since we last talked. For instance, did you know a math student from Germany briefly stayed with us? Well, she did. And it’s great to host people. It usually takes out-of-towners to get us out of the house.

One of the places we went with Sandra, that is her name, was the Getty. The Getty is a museum in northeast LA, probably best known for its art, garden, and bird’s perch over LA. Did you know parts of LA look like this:

The Getty is high up on a hill. This was taken while walking up to the museum.

The art was fun to see, but my favorite part of the Getty was the garden.

I love these mock trees.

I even saw a wild creature.

What a lovely view! I also like the trees. They remind me of the Japanese cherry blossom trees we saw in Cambridge
