Passover time

Zach and I recently attended a Jewish Passover celebration called the Seder (sounds like “satyr” not “seeder”). Several of our friends are Jewish and one of them organized the event for everyone. During the Seder, you retell the Passover story, sing songs and recite things in Hebrew, eat traditional Seder food (including matza), and drink wine. If done properly, it takes hours.

We had a lot of fun. I’ve never participated in any Jewish events and didn’t know anything about the Seder. It was also fun hearing my friends sing in Hebrew. I also met new people, as I do every time I hang out with the math people.
