Rome Rome Rome Rome

Did you know I went to Rome? My amazing parents-in-law took Zach and me to Italia. We stayed in a beautiful hotel, ate delicious food (gelato, tiramisu, pizza, cheese, Pringles), and saw lots of amazing sights.

A hotel shuttle took us from our hotel to the heart of Rome. This is the view from where our shuttle dropped us off.

This is the Roman Pantheon. We saw the French Pantheon in Paris (picture here).

Trevi Fountain

This is the Foro di Nerva, or the Roman Forum. The ruins of many emperors' palaces and other government buildings remain here. We spent quite some time walking around.

Next we went to the Coliseum (il Colosseo).

The inside of the Coliseum is cooler than the outside. Zach's so excited he can't contain himself.

After seeing the Coliseum, Zach and his mom Sidney went to a Dalí exhibition at the Vittoriano Complex while Marcelle and I relaxed outdoors. We had an early dinner at what would be a forgettable restaurant if not for its fabulous tiramisu. So good. The best I’ve ever had. We jumped on the 9p shuttle to the hotel and there enjoyed drinks, Pringles, a cheese plate, and (more) gelato. I had a rum mojito with nearly an entire mint plant inside. That was such a good day.
